RENEE LAPRISE
Owner/Producer/President
Renée’s interests are wide and varied. Her education was focused in fine arts at the University of Toronto and she continues to paint and draw on a regular basis.
Since her graduation from the Integrated Media course at the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1997 Renée has been an editor by trade having worked on several tv series, docs, short films and web series.
Over the past several years Renée has been developing Mugisha’s own projects. She acts as producer/director working in collaboration with writers and artists on ideas that she believes deeply in. Her passion is that collaborative process. She is currently producing several short films with her creative partner Patti Larsen.
BRIAN SHARP
Owner/Producer/CFO/DOP
Brian Sharp has over 25 years of experience shooting, directing, producing and production managing. His experience ranges from feature length and short films to 220 episodes of a daily TV series.
As an independent producer Brian has successfully produced two seasons of the KidsCBC series “Razzberry Jazzberry Jam”, a web series, N3XT NETWORK, with over 200 episodes (www.nextnetwork.ca) as well as numerous short films, music videos and commercial spots.
Brian’s creative passion for filmmaking is shooting and visual fx. Brian is an accomplished Director of Photography and visual fx artist with a keen eye for details and visual storytelling.
Brian is equally skilled at fundraising, client management and getting the job done. His attention to detail and management style is exceptionally good at keeping a team on task and a project on budget, enjoying all aspects of the process of telling your story.
No idea is too small or too big for Brian. Through strong industry contacts, he can assemble a team of any size capable of meeting your production needs.
GHISLAINE O'HANLEY
VP of Development
Ghislaine is a sought after Production Manager, Assistant Director and Producer. She began her career in theatre, expanded into television and landed in special events. She is now the VP of Development for Mugisha Enterprises.
Her credits include AD for CBC’s Emily of New Moon, Production Manager on CBCs animated series Razzberry Jazzberry Jam and Associate Producer of the JUNOs. Ghislaine has been Stage Manager for the ECMAs, Olympic Torch Relay and other special events. She also has a long list of credits as Stage Manager for local theatre productions, including Sketch-22, Calendar Girls and the Music PEI awards.
In addition to being the Production Manager for most of Mugisha’s projects, Ghislaine is now taking on the role as VP of Development. She is excited to work with Brian and Renee as well as the writers, directors and the creative community here on PEI to develop and produce short films, feature films and commercial work.
